2021 Grenache
Production notes
A blend of 3 different clones of Grenache, 2 blocks from Jada, and then one block at Caliza. Harvested on the same morning, we hand sorted then destemmed 75% of the fruit and then fermented all the clones in the same stainless steel tank using specialized yeast for optimal extraction of flavors and textures.
This vintage is truly special as the co-fermented blend of Grenache filled 3 barrels and was the finished wine at inception, a very unique and extraordinary feat as the vast majority of wines are blended in some fashion along the way but these three barrels were exquisite on their own.

Rich boysenberry and black cherry showcase a density of fruit on the nose of this bottling. The palate is unctuous with similar fruit tones, but vanilla and nutmeg flavors add extra spice to the comforting style. —M.K.

This is bright and delicious 2021 Grenache with a great purity of red fruits. Medium bodied and smooth, with chalky soil character and citrus rind accents, enjoy now and over the next eight plus years. Drink 2024-2032
